The Ravalli Republic has this cute name for forcing people out of the valley.  It is called being "Bitterrootized".  Thats nothing compared to being "Spreadburied".  Good to know a newspaper is psyched to "flush" people from the area; does it make sense what we've been telling/showing you?

FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND ABILITY TO REPORT FREELY- RAVALLI REPUBLIC

Racketeering by Ravalli County officials compromise your newsworthyness.

Thursday April 15, 2010 we got a slap on the wrist from the Ravalli Republic editorial board, about being nice to law enforcement.

we weren't the one pointing a gun at at Hamilton Police officer.  By the way, Perry, do we get our day in court?  Not in Ravalli County.  Sheriff deputies kicked in a door for an order of protection, that was not nice, nor giving information for a false arrest by HPD.  Your paper is yellow, and is county fed.  Please keep telling us what to do.

Top 10 things to do with a Ravalli Republic besides reading it:

10). Make those fun newspaper sailor hats and play with your kids.

9). By all means work the crossword, the staff at the Republic did not create it.

8). Since a Horoscope is essential to our moral compass, read it from that free copy lying around.

7). Cut and Paste your own headlines, due to no interesting investigative stories in it.

6). Those paper airplanes made of Ravalli Republic print seem to be lighter than real newspapers.

5). Make some environmentalist happy and recycle it; or re-use it in the shop or around the home: it is really good at covering up messes.

4). Although no self respecting Trout would want to be wrapped in it, use it for gift wrapping.

3). Since we don’t subscribe we have no way of knowing, but people have told us that it burns well on a daily basis.

2) A handy dustpan to pick up junk, or your pet Parrot will enjoy the target practice.

1). Shred it and stuff the walls for insulation; the pages are rumored to be filled with hot air.

We think that the Ravalli Republic needs to be taught a lesson or two about reporting....like don't embelish the truth to non-suspecting folks who are have no reason to doubt your printed words.

who pays your rent?  Not enough revenue to support your staff.

What Lee Enterprises knowingly overlook

Ravalli County paid the tab for the defamation and defamation per se from the Shook Case.  The case alleged that the Republic published false articles to defame the Shooks in 2007ish.  It is pretty clear they are the mouthpiece for the corruption and to wag the dog for unsuspecting people of the Bitterroot.

We forgive those who tresspass against us, but we also know the truth....

The Truth being, that George H. Corn, Ravalli County Prosecutor is a member of the Ravalli Republic editorial board (and has been for two years) without public knowledge.  Way to let your "client" control public opinion, laws, voting, and possibly freedom of speech of residents in the Ravalli Republic.

So, y'all commit crime, are unethical, (were/are) in court for defaming people.....

By paying off the Shooks, Ravalli County did the Ravalli Republic a favor.  How is it payed back?  (The Newspaper was named in pg 6. of 16 of Shooks original complaint against the county.  See quote below from the complaint.)

Attacking people who live within their radius of "influence" is not the responsibility of a free press.  It is to protect our liberty by exposing the problems, not creating speculation and doubt.  Without free thought, expression and a free press, the US Constitution lies lifeless.  To manipulate this is the lowest form of garbage.  Enter the Ravalli Republic.

Yes, folks, our Lee Enterprises newspaper (The Ravalli Republic) is biased. Not that there is anything illegal about that, but the hypocrisy of portraying themselves as fair is a little hard to take.   ----a former Hamilton City Councilman

The Hamilton Police Department works for the Ravalli Republic.  Just call in a threat, and they will come running.  The Ravalil Republic is a threat to our public welfare.

A fundamental question we need to ask is if we want a business in our area which defames our residents for a living.  Well, do we?  Capitalism means you can choose to buy something or choose to NOT buy something.

On August 13, 2009 the publisher, editor, and others on the editorial staff  at the Ravalli Republic Newspaper in Hamilton, MT decided that first amendment rights were not necessary.  We, the People cannot make this up.  As sad as it is, this is too good to make up.  Welcome to the Ravalli Republic:

Keep community parades family friendly activities

Thursday, August 13, 2009

There seems to be a disturbing trend sweeping through community parades these days. What used to be fun events meant to draw the community together now double as opportunities for political groups to get on their soapbox and shout their opinion.

We have to wonder, is a community parade an appropriate venue for these kinds of displays?

During the Corvallis Memorial Day Parade, a gun rights group walked through the parade waving their guns and promoting their pro-gun beliefs.

More recently, some members of a Republican group displayed what some considered divisive political messages on signs they held aloft during the Stevensville Creamery Picnic parade.

The group’s claim they were simply expressing their First Amendment rights. There is no doubt they have the right to express their political beliefs. With that right however comes with it a certain responsibility.

Do young children attending a Memorial Day parade need to have guns waving around in front of them? Should confrontational signs be displayed at an event meant to bring a town together? There are many venues to protest or rally around a particular political theme. Parades simply should not be one of them.

Community parades are generally considered a time of celebration and families line the street to watch colorful floats, classic cars and animals pass by. The sights and sounds at a parade should be fun, light-hearted and enjoyable.

Political groups should certainly participate in community parades, after all they are in fact a part of the community. There simply is not a need to use parades as an opportunity to push their controversial positions. Being a part of a community parade allows groups to promote their club and reach out to potential new members.

Save the grandstanding though for political rallies. Such rallies allow groups to discuss their stances on various issues and those in attendance know what they are getting into. Parents can leave their children at home when topics that may not be appropriate for young ears and eyes are going to be discussed.

A parade is not the same thing as a rally. Political groups should keep that in mind so we can keep community parades the fun, family-friendly events they should be.

When an entity commits crime to support another, and gets paid for this it is called Racketeering.  By defaming residents (on command) from the County Government, and publishing stories that are desired by the County (these events have been documented) how does that benefit our community?  When known false information is printed three and four times this is not journalism, but rather unethical.  When a federal court document lists civil conspiracy against the Ravalli Republic Newspaper, when do they understand it is time to hang up the key and never return to work?  If it will take criminal charges, they deserve all of its ramifications.

Tell your friends. Come back!

We have noticed that their "online comments" and articles are REMOVED when the actual truth is being told by Ravalli County residents.  They are protecting their clients.

In reading the paper, do people see how the Ravalli Republic can alter how people read and are given the news?  It scares us to read anything on those pages.  Don't they realize that the system they are protecting is nose-diving??

Kamikaze pilot, trajectory of Ravalli Republic courtesy of stinque.com

Do they have no shame in misreporting the news?  Now more than ever the county will be willing to pay off a paper to not report on the Shook Case, and City and County happenings.  It is the way the Ravalli Republic stays in business.  Keep reporting on meetings and events without any of your employees there; you count on people not knowing that....sorry to spill the truth on the RR.

We, as as Bitterroot residents ask that the RAVALLI REPUBLIC stop interfereing with due process by "convicting" US residents prior to their day in court.  Who told you all that was OK? (We know, George H. Corn).  These are grounds for dismissal in most venues, but apparently this is the source of your income.  We can change that.

  • example given is the recent "DUI #6" article from the week ending May 1, 2009 where the defendants height, weight, and prior offenses were published in your "paper".  Gee, we wonder who provided you that information?

When the local supermarket has to pay for distribution of their ad pages, doesn't this tell us that the Ravalli Republic does not reach nearly any readers in a 40,000 resident valley? YUP!

We have worked extensively with their CORPORATE headquarters in Davenport, IA.  In fact they attempted to "appease" us by removing the editor and publisher at both the Missoulian Newspaper and the Ravalli Republic, and we get the same and worse situation.

In a Ravalli County health meeting, it was asked if it were ok to openly talk about 3-5 stories that appeared in the next day's printing.  A reporter had promised to attend the meeting, but was busy writing the stories the county wanted printed.  Can you say Orwell's 1984?

The Ravalli Republic refused to print a story, letter, or publish photographs regarding a felony hit and run in Hamilton in September 2007 as seen in Law Enforcement watch page on this site.  It is guessed that it was the last straw for the FBI, knowing that we could not even pay for justice, nor break the "code of silence" of the system.  Observed criminal conduct is occuring at this Lee Enterprises paper, and it is chilling to know they own about 80% of Montana newspapers, and 53 papers nationwide.  We hope that the US Justice Dept. is following up to our leads.

Perry Baucus, editor was quoted in an email saying "Don't send any more photographs, (of the 9/14/07 Hit and Run accident) we can see what is going on".  They saw.  They decided to not publish any truthful story, even when Chief Oster made misleading statements to Perry.

It gets worse, on July 9,2009 their staff called in false information to the Hamilton Police Department.  Chief Oster, a detective, and a patrollman showed up.

Letter to Kristen Bounds, Publisher of the Ravalli Republic

Webmaster note: this letter was hand written in the office of the Ravalli Republic, a staff member called the Hamilton Police Department and said threats were made. False charges to law enforcement were given, where is our law, or justice in the Bitterroot?

Dear Ms. Bounds,                                                                                            7/9/09

In an online comment, actually a few, defamatory comments are present. Does your paper endorse this?

A false arrest warrant was issued and is listed under title 3 (a non-criminal code). This is record as requesting removal of this comment material.

By not doing so, your paper condones defamation. In Shook v. Ravalli County your paper is listed as a contributor to defamation.

My campaign for Mayor will issue statements to your paper. Please make these requests electronically to (email address listed).

Do not call my residence phone. It is 363-XXXX.

Signed,

Michael Spreadbury (2009 Candidate for Mayor)

Three days later, a new, government issue, black suburban was seen leaving Hamilton's main street, and 3-5 days later the official Ravalli Republic "announcement" came.  Reports of those who read the story said that Oster was hesitant of going, that does not sound like someone who "applied" for this "wonderful, graduate level training (Sheriff Chris Hoffman, 2009)."  Chief Oster went to the FBI academy for retraining. (see Law Enforcement page).

FBI academy turned out to be confessional...Oster was absolved of all criminal "sin"

(He's still a sinner the week he returned---looked other way for this "Newspaper")

The Ravalli Republic broadcasts favorable articles for clients (see top of page), and fuzzy bunny stories of law enforcement, their families, other clients as listed, and witholds information from the Valley which we feel is criminal.  A perfect example of this is the Shook Case (see page on this site).  Defamation of character suits are held back by George H. Corn's control of our local judicial system, and now Bill Fullbright is the clone to replace Corn.

Any bad news against their alleged paid clients are cotterized by the Ravalli Republic.  The Ravalli Republic is named as a co-conspirator with the County in the Federal Shook Case.  The basis of the Shook case is civil rights against Ravalli County.  Why does the Ravalli Republic pick and selecting their "news"?; shouldn't we choose to not buy this misleading propaganda?  When ever a client needs good PR, there is always room on the front page of the Ravalli Republic.  Scroll to the top of this page for a "TOP 10" list.

The Shooks allege in their complaint that the Ravalli Republic Newspaper did knowingly and intentionally defame them in conspiracy with Ravalli County in their suit in the Montana District US Court.  They won $200,000 damages against the County who they claim intentionally defamed the Shooks through the Ravalli Republic.  The story was delayed by about three months [the case was filed in October, then "reported" on by the Ravalli Republic in January 2009], and then, misreported (see Shook Case Page).

The Ravalli Republic has intentionally "prosecuted" Ravalli County residents prior to trial, in favor to George H. Corn.  The Ravalli Republic has printed false arrests in their paper, and will never write a (legitimate) correction, or detraction.  They appologize to thier "clients" when they break their unwritten contracts of protection for a "cost".  The costs are our freedom of speech rights, defamation of character, and assisting malicious prosecution.

In early December, 2008 an alleged criminal sceme was uncovered.  The Ravalli Republic, as described above, made a victim of a multiple car accident a perpetrator.  It was heard that the janitor at Marcus Daly Hospital overheard this victim tell the Montana Highway Patrol that he did not see any tail lights, and therefore did not try to stop.  The Ravalli Republic had a front page story on or about December 10, 2008 about how 3 MHP troopers indicted this victim in the paper.  A total of three MHP "troopers" were at MDMH that night, and none of them got it right.  Neither did the Ravalli Republic Newspaper.  George H. Corn was up to his malicious prosecution habit as well.  He used his paper, and co-conspirator, the Ravalli Republic to attempt crime.  We the People got in their way, and funny thing, the MHP commander mysteriously retired, and Mike Tooley took over.

EMAIL TO RAVALLI REPUBLIC Staff  NOV 2008

To: EDITOR pbackus@ravallirepublic.comPUBLISHER mmedlar@ravallirepublic.com; info@lee.net
Subject: The newspaper experiment
Date: Fri, 21 Nov 2008 11:54:02 -0700

Dear Perry and Kristen, (current editor and publisher of the Ravalli Republic)

About a year ago, I tried to publish a classified ad for the second time for the county attorney and sheriff positions with your paper. The publisher left me with a taste in my mouth after being refused that the only thing that came out of my mouth was "disgusting". She no longer works there.

Recently that has happened again.

You two are better people than your predecessors, but the same output is occurring with the old staff. I really like the idea of uplifting news, however, there needs to be justice prior to this being implemented.

Perry, you recently wrote an editorial about two types of people in Ravalli County, those that can give, and those that need help. I cannot stress this enough: by allowing injustice, your paper is contributing to the suffering of this area. By allowing the status quo, more Ravalli County residents will suffer because of your paper articles. While I understand that company bottom lines are involved here, hiding from the fact that your paper is kept in the black by financing by city/county governments is on your own backs, I am just saying that being a part of "We the People" taught us the extent of the intimidation, non-equal protection of the law, having the local police make a DVD of vehicle stops to laugh at victims (some were crying). This video was shown at a local business, and was used for entertainment.  We have a copy of this DVD full of law enforcement misconduct.  It may be appearing in a theater near you soon. (Beneath the Beauty DVD; www.Beneaththebeauty.com $15 delivered to your door).

Contributing to corruption only leads to more devastation for Ravalli County Montana.

Whole juries are seated in Ravalli County (and possibly paid in cash or favors) to convict victims of crime. This has happened in more than one occasion, to more than one person. People were threatened, trumped up with more citations to quiet them. I have been threatened by an Attorney General employee merely for inquiring about our County Attorney, George H. Corn. As many as 10 laws could have been cited against the perpetrator in my case, and they pled to one disorderly conduct when they committed much more.  There is no need to violate rights like this.

We now can approach this subject with calm and civility. We lost what we thought was important, but we have retained our goal, and drive for justice for the residents here. For one "member" of the We the People group, there are at least ten victims who refuse to come forward. The Highway Patrol is still covering up this accident in Sept. 2007. Our Police Chief lied to Perry (Ravalli Republic Newspaper Editor) on the phone this November 3rd. as is indicated in his email.

One way or another, if your paper adds positive icing to this situation, more people are going to know of its invalidity. None of us attended journalism school, but in any community there are stories that must be written, and letters that must be published. Our group remembers how it feels when civil rights are taken away. It is a kick in the teeth, or like being knocked out of air. Thank you for allowing us to feel that way again.

May we suggest a headline?: State and Local Law Enforcement cover up accident

The way to make this area better, to contribute to justice, and equal protection under the law. Until that happens, none of our money, ideas, or influence in the area will be lent to your paper. We will tell all that will hear, and we are resourceful.  We act in the Public's welfare.

The Ravalli Republic is forced on the sick and in imobile at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.  If a viewer goes to to their website, a MDMH banner is at the header of the Ravalli Republic webpage.  How long are we going to tolerate a paper which robs us of justice and prosperity?  We are uncovering your propaganda, and misleading news articles.

To residents of the Bitterroot Valley: Cancel your subscription today, and refuse to purchase this rag in Ravalli County. Call Krisen Mueller, Publisher of the Missoulian Newspaper and overseer of the Ravalli Republic, and a first step is to consolidate the Ravalli Republic into the Missoulian.  Then resign.  Lets add criminal conspiracy, Racketeering, false information to police, and intentional defamation of residents in your "subscription area".  Isn't money from Ravalli County tainted with injustice?

Misssoulian publisher Kirsten Mueller can be reached at her direct line at (406) 523-5201 or at an email Publisher@Missoulian.com.  She has been warned, as has Lee Enterprises about alleged criminal activity that the paper publishes, covers for, and gets paid to distribute to our valley.

We update this notion to alleged Racketeering.

The "Ravalli Repugnant" as exposed above, deserves none of our money, time, or written contributions in print or electronically.  Do not Buy, Do not contribute, Do not advertise.  You are wasting your money regardless, it is biased "news" and nobody reads it anyway.
